What is an OEM Option?

An OEM Option is whatever nomenclature the OEM has its dealers use to order a vehicle built with a certain wheel.  Hence, the values for an OEM Option are not standardized across all Makes.

For example, General Motors uses a three character Regular Production Order (RPO) code (e.g., “Q76”).

560-05342 is General Motors OEM Option “Q76”

560-05272 is General Motors OEM Option “Q76”

For another example, Jeep sometimes uses a trim level (e.g., “Laredo”, “Limited”).

What is an OEM Style versus a Style?

A Style most often describes the number and shape of spokes (e.g., “5 V Spokes”) and is standardized across all Makes.

An OEM Style is whatever the OEM uses to describe the shape of its wheel, hence it is not standardized across all Makes.

For example, BMW uses a numeral (e.g., “202”) for its OEM Style.

560-59604 is BMW OEM Style 202

560-59605 is BMW OEM Style 202

For another example, Lexus uses a name (e.g., “Trident”) for its OEM Style.

560-74300 is Lexus OEM Style Trident
