Nomenclature

What is an OEM Option?

An OEM Option is whatever nomenclature the OEM has its dealers use to order a vehicle built with a certain wheel.  Hence, the values for an OEM Option are not standardized across all Makes.

For example, General Motors uses a three character Regular Production Order (RPO) code (e.g., “Q76”).

560-05342 is General Motors OEM Option “Q76”

For another example, Jeep sometimes uses a trim level (e.g., “Laredo”, “Limited”).

What is an OEM Style versus a Style?

A Style most often describes the number and shape of spokes (e.g., “5 V Spokes”) and is standardized across all Makes.

An OEM Style is whatever the OEM uses to describe the shape of its wheel, hence it is not standardized across all Makes.

For example, BMW uses a numeral (e.g., “202”) for its OEM Style.

560-59604 is BMW OEM Style 202

560-59605 is BMW OEM Style 202

For another example, Lexus uses a name (e.g., “Trident”) for its OEM Style.

560-74300 is Lexus OEM Style Trident

What is an Ident number?

An Ident number is a number impressed or embossed on the back of a wheel.

In the example herein, the Ident number is 6790606.

Entering 6790606 into the search box reveals the Hollander Interchange number for this wheel is 560-71387.

An OEM manufacturer stock number — which often does not appear on the back of a wheel — is treated like an Ident number and, when available, can also be entered in the search box to reveal the Hollander Interchange number for the wheel.

What is the difference between Visual Sort vs Alphabetical Sort?

The segregated control on the Result View toggles between sorting results visually and sorting results alphabetically.

Visual means the results are sorted in descending order of confidence the wheel in the result looks like the wheel in the photo taken by the user.

What does the info symbol ⓘ indicate?

When the info symbol ⓘ appears on a row of the Result View, it means more than one wheel looks like the thumbnail image. Tapping the row navigates to the SubList View that displays all wheels that look similar.

The animation herein illustrates three wheels that look similar but each has a different Finish or Size. One is Polished 19x12; one is Chrome 18x9-1/2; and one is Chrome 19x12.

In the Result View, they are grouped together in the single row “560-05100 - 05101 ~” that has the info symbol ⓘ.

Tapping this row navigates to the SubList View that shows three rows. One for Polished 19x12; one for Chrome 18x9-1/2; and one for Chrome 19x12.

Tapping any of these rows navigates to the IC Number View that shows the Hollander Interchange Number for that Finish and Size.

The Polished 19x12 wheel is Hollander Interchange number 560-05272.

The Chrome 18x9-1/2 wheel is Hollander Interchange number 560-05342.

The Chrome 19x12 wheel is Hollander Interchange number 560-05347.
